Marathon in Aid of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation

To mark the 10th anniversary of Dad's passing my brother Paul Simmonds is running the London Marathon raising vital funds for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

Find out more about why Paul is taking on this challenge! >

On 14th February 2013 Dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, In October 2013 he lost his battle. Myself Geraldine and Adam had lost their Dad, Mum had lost her husband, Ewan and Liam had lost Grandad and June lost her Brother. This disease had in one night ripped a loved one from to many people and affected all our lives in the most devastating way.

Dad was only 68 when he was taken from us which is no age and is very much missed every day by all of us. Dad not being here to see the Boy's take exam's, to celebrate Birthdays and Christmas the time of year he so loved with the family is hard on all of us. While we have much loved memories it's not the same and I definitely struggle on these days.

I have supported Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation since my first run in 2014 because I truly believe in the work they are doing trying to find a cure. With my legs and your kind sponsorship we will beat this disease and stop families suffering what we have gone through.

“Please free to sponsor Paul and in turn support the Roy Castle Foundation.”

Many thanks Adam
